Everyone has a favorite holiday. For me, it's Christmas, with the smells, the twinkling lights, and the music floating through the air. One of my friends loves Easter because of the pastel colors and the fresh spring air. Plus, she really loves bunny rabbits.
When it comes to celebrating holidays, decorating your apartment in a special way can be lots of fun, particularly if the holiday will include a gathering at your place for family or friends. But I was struck in recent years by the cost of holiday decorations. On a recent Christmas shopping trip to a popular home decorating store, I was shocked at the cost of ornaments and other decorative items.
If you're the type that likes to decorate up a storm to celebrate holidays, it can be discouraging to learn that seasonal decorations can often break your bank. It's even more discouraging when you consider that these decorations are temporary, pulled out for just a few weeks a year.
